About this notice
Robert Noris Zainea, operating SimGaze, is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact [email protected] about your data or this notice.
This notice covers leaderboard drivers, country statistics, professional profiles, driver cards, social previews, visitors and privacy requests. A driver profile is not a SimGaze store account. You do not need an account or a purchase to exercise your rights.
Accounts, purchases and setup downloads are covered by the website’s Privacy Policy. This separate notice covers the leaderboard’s driver records.
Data sources
The iRacing leaderboard is updated daily using the official iRacing Data API. Public pages show driver display names, selected country flags, clubs, category iRatings, starts and wins. Customer IDs are used internally to match records and process data requests; leaderboard and profile pages do not publish them. Global and country positions are calculated by SimGaze from the latest completed update.
Professional profiles also use public Liquipedia Sim Racing pages for teams, reported prize winnings, social links and competition results. The operator reviews and links these records to iRacing accounts. Badges are calculated from results, winnings and rankings. We do not import Liquipedia images or logos.
When you send a privacy request, we record the driver ID, requested change, any reply email and correspondence, and our decision. Website delivery and security also involve IP addresses, browser information and request logs. The leaderboard adds no advertising or analytics cookies and does not use request details for marketing.

Publication
Leaderboard pages are public and may appear in search engine results. When a profile-removal request is approved, the driver is hidden from public view and remains excluded from publication in future updates. This does not erase the underlying racing or professional-profile records.
Visitors can download driver cards, and search engines and social platforms may keep copies of public pages or images. Removing information from SimGaze does not automatically remove those copies. Where required, we notify recipients of corrections or erasure and take reasonable steps to inform other services processing information we made public.
Driver-name truncation is active: Truncate all names — P. A.. It applies to non-professional drivers; professional esports drivers retain their full names. Individually approved full-name exemptions retain their names and normal identity links, subject to the existing visibility rules. Names are abbreviated on the server before public pages, data responses and cards are produced. Search uses only the published names and initials; abbreviated queries may match several drivers. When professionals are included, named profile pages and identity links are withheld. Source names remain stored privately for administration and data matching. Abbreviation reduces name exposure but does not make racing statistics anonymous or remove previously saved external copies.
SimGaze rankings and profile badges are informational. They do not affect access to iRacing or SimGaze accounts, products or services.
Use & sharing
We use racing records to publish rankings, country statistics and professional profiles, and to help people discover SimGaze and its store. Legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) is the proposed basis for publication; our assessment has not established that the current publication model meets its conditions. We use limited security information to protect the service against abuse on the basis of legitimate interests. Rights handling and replies fulfil our obligations under GDPR Articles 12–22, using Article 6(1)(c).
We use request contact details only to handle the request and follow-up. We do not add them to marketing lists or link them to store accounts. An email address is optional; without one, we cannot send a decision or ask for clarification. Contact support if you need another reply arrangement.
Our service providers are Hetzner for hosting and backups, Cloudflare for delivery and security, Brevo for automated email delivery, and Google Workspace for support correspondence. Public driver information is also available to visitors and search engines. External links lead to services with their own privacy notices.
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their published Cloudflare and Google Workspace data-processing terms provide standard contractual clauses for restricted transfers. The arrangements applicable to our accounts are still being verified. Contact [email protected] for information about the safeguards.
Retention
We keep your request while handling it. After our decision, we retain it for 90 days to allow follow-up, then delete the full request record, including any reply email and notes, in the next daily cleanup. Pending requests are not deleted by this rule.
Each successful daily leaderboard update replaces the previous database snapshot. Professional-profile records remain until updated or removed. Approved hiding and country corrections are stored separately so later imports respect them; deleting a completed request does not undo them. Hiding does not erase the underlying driver records or stop their daily reimport.
For an approved erasure request, we delete the stored racing and professional-profile records and retain only a driver-ID block and erasure date to prevent their return. Future bulk imports discard blocked entries before storing driver records. We keep that block while these imports continue; the request correspondence follows the separate retention rules above.
The request-deletion period does not cover copies in support correspondence, email-provider records, logs or backups. Their expiry settings have not yet been verified. Limits for keeping inactive or hidden driver records remain unresolved.
Privacy rights
Use the leaderboard’s Privacy & data forms to request a country correction or hide your public profile. You do not need a SimGaze store account.
If you provide an email, approval sends a short notification. Country corrections appear after the next completed leaderboard update. Other replies, including reasons for refusing a request, are handled by the operator.
For access to your personal data, erasure of stored records, other corrections, restriction, an objection to processing or another reply method, contact [email protected]. You can also reply to an approval email. Include the relevant profile, customer ID or request reference so we can locate the record.
The forms ask for your iRacing customer ID and confirmation that you are the driver or are authorised to act for them. The ID is checked against the selected driver as an additional safeguard; it does not by itself prove ownership. Submissions are requests for review, not immediate changes. If there are reasonable doubts about your identity or authority, we may ask for proportionate additional information before acting. Without a reply email, contact support to follow up. Do not send passwords or identity documents with an initial request.
Wrong esports information? We import teams, reported winnings, social links and results through the Liquipedia API. You can correct them on the Liquipedia page linked from the professional profile. Updates appear here after the next import.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. We must stop that processing unless we demonstrate overriding compelling grounds or need it for legal claims. Contact support to object. Erasure and restriction also apply where their legal conditions are met.
Requests are normally free. We respond without undue delay and within one month. Where the complexity or number of requests requires up to two additional months, we explain the extension within the first month.
You can complain to a data protection authority, including the ANSPDCP in Romania or the authority where you live or work, and seek a judicial remedy. We explain the reasons and these options if we refuse a request.
